About My Kid Shuttle, Inc.

The inspiration of My Kid Shuttle, Inc. was realized after a brain-storming session with a friend who owns her own business in Plano. As mothers who both struggled daily to balance family life with work, keeping our kids active, husbands happy and enjoying some time with friends, we knew we had a need for the service . At the time, my kids were enrolled in a private daycare that did not provide shuttle service to the grade school my children would attend because it was just a little too far away. In my own mind, I struggled with safety issues; kids not wearing seatbelts, little supervision, and over-crowding on other transportation. I also knew I would not be comfortable with my kids walking back and forth between school and home.

We talked to a wide variety of people about the idea of pre-arranged child shuttle services, sent out surveys and studied results and trends, conducted extensive research and spent countless hours talking with other established child transportation companies in the U.S. Our own struggles were overwhelmingly confirmed: There is a definite and growing need for this service.

It is important to us that all children are safe and that parents KNOW where there child is. We wanted to make sure that a mom wasn’t stuck on I-35 or sitting in her office feeling miserable because she couldn’t pick up her child from school or take them to soccer practice because she had to work. For that reason, it is important to My Kid Shuttle, Inc. that the electronic notification to the parent be sent timely, consistently and accurately.

We are passionate about creating a convenient, safe and reliable resource for busy parents. This is how the idea for the children's transportation service was born.
